Vic Foley- Guitar/Vocals
Formed in 1995, Providence, RI based Vic Foley’s Southern
Fried Swang Thang began playing in just a few local clubs.
After a change in the line-up (drummer Billy Krammer ) the band
had established a good local following, and was creating some
buzz.
Cutting their teeth with legendary acts like Jr. Wells, Johnny
Clyde’ Copeland, and Koko Taylor, the band scored a independent
record deal with Liquid Blue Records. Traveling and playing the
East Coast, the band had little time to cut the first record.
It was then that the name was shortened to “Vic Foley”.
The album went on to sell over 3,500 copies locally, and earned
great reviews. Vic Foley is currently putting the finishing touches
on their latest release, a live album entitled, “Tall
Tales of a Modern Classic” and is set to hit the road
again in 2002.
